Don and Julia Routson were looking for an upgrade on their entire property. Heavily involved in their home design, they were looking to make their outside spaces match its modern architecture. It started by removing the concrete and wood steps at the front door. A unique series of steps and landings were installed to provide functional space and safe step navigation. The driveway was also done in pavers with striping to match the front walk. A pergola was added to the back deck to provide the space with a roof structure as well as relief from the relentless sun. Living in a neighborhood with smaller lots, privacy was minimal until we built the lattice work on the back deck. Older, mature plantings were then removed and a fresh landscape followed. Additional lights were installed to extend the living space time as well as step safety at night.
