A steeply sloping back yard created two headaches for Murphy and Sue Sullivan of Centerville. Not only was it unusable for entertaining, but the grass on the slope was dangerous to maintain. Sue, an interior designer, had some ideas for the yard that we fleshed out together and installed in the summer of 2011. Belgard Estate Wall created terracing and set the stage for a lengthy run of stream and waterfall. Extended patio space creates room for entertaining, while smaller sub-patios will be used for smaller groups and fireside activities. Planting, lighting, and stepping stone paths accent and create access into the yard. For Sue’s take on the project, check out her blog.
